Ann Arbor’s Mayor And The Majority On City Council Voted Against Giving Citizens An Opportunity To Vote To Decide How Our Library Lot Will Be Developed

I strongly support allowing residents to have the opportunity to vote on how the space above the Library Lane parking parking structure will be developed.

This article is part of the important backstory about the how some council members brought forward a proposal and voted in favor putting it on the November 8th, 2016 ballot so that voters could decide the issue while the mayor and the majority on council voted against allowing Ann Arbor residents their right to vote on it.

I think that our city government should put people first. I believe that when thousands of people sign a petition to be allowed to participate in the outcome of an important issue, then our City Council should listen to them.
